Beaches
Crystal Beach and Ridgeway on Lake Erie are your Caribbean escape in the north! Lake Erie is the southernmost, shallowest and smallest in volume of the Great Lakes so the water warms up quickly in the hot summer months. August brings the warmest water temperatures with a monthly average of 24°C. The stunning beaches feature flawless white sands, crystal clear waters and spectacular sunsets, all while staying in Canada.


BAY BEACH
Bay Beach has a vast sandy area with clear water where locals and visitors can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. Bay Beach has undergone extensive renovations to provide an accessible and modern beach facility for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.

Bernard Beach
Tucked away at the end of Bernard Avenue, this beach offers 66 feet of quiet beachfront, a perfect place for lounging in the sun, having a picnic, or just enjoying the gorgeous sandy beach. Free public parking is available onsite.
Crescent Beach
Located just off the Friendship Trail at the end of Crescent Road, this beach is 66 feet of intimate beachfront, perfect for spending the day with the family and soaking up the warm summer sun. Complimentary parking is available steps away from the water's edge.
Waverly Beach
Waverly Beach is located along the Friendship Trail and next to the sire of the former Erie Beach Amusement Park. With fine sand, paved walkways, informative boards citing historical significance, free public parking and washrooms, this beach is a favourite among locals and visitors.
Lake Erie Waterfront Access Points
In addition to these waterfront parks, a variety of public Lake Erie waterfront access points are available. These 'windows to the Lake' vary in character from sandy beach to rocky and naturalized shoreline, and are located at the end of Prospect Point Road; Burleigh Road; Centrallia Road; Windmill Point Road; Stonemill Road; Bertie Bay Road; Buffalo Road; Kraft Road; Rose Avenue; Pierce Avenue; and Beachview Avenue.
Boating
Buffalo Canoe Club
Nestled in beautiful Abino Bay on the Canadian shores of Lake Erie, the Buffalo Canoe Club is one of the area's finest private yacht Clubs. Established in 1882, the Club is rich in both history and tradition. Offering its members unparalleled opportunities for sailing and family recreation, the Buffalo Canoe Club is particularly proud of its high-quality sailing program, producing many champion sailors. It's no wonder the Club has earned a reputation for being one of the best places for a child to learn how to sail.

Bertie Boating Club
There are approximately 200 members who are residents of the Town of Fort Erie and the surrounding communities including summer residents from New York State and the Toronto area. Not only does the club serve boating members, the club promotes and supports other organizations to utilize the facility both in the summer and the winter.
Crystal Beach
Boat Launch
Located next to the Boat Launch is the Waterfront Park, where facilities include a picnic pavilion; a playground on the water’s edge; scenic views of Lake Erie; as well as restroom facilities and parking.
Golfing
There are a variety of golf experiences available within 15 minutes of Crystal Beach. From executive par 3 and practice courses, to beautifully manicured resort-style courses, our local clubs offer enthusiasts multiple options to enjoy and improve their game.
